Natural Gas Volkswagen Caddy Launched in UK

Volkswagen Group United Kingdom Limited has announced the availability of a compressed natural gas (CNG) EcoFuel Caddy in the UK from the end of 2008. Brochures have already been released for the vehicle which is expected to almost match the model currently available in the rest of Europe, but fitted for right hand drive operations. The Caddy features a 2 litre engine optimised to run on CNG, with a petrol capacity as a backup/ range extender. The vehicle can be fuelled at the office or home with a 'Phill' refuelling device. VW can provide a trial for organisations interested in purchasing vehicles.
